Don’t go to the Saturn Dealership for maintenance work!
It is really that simple.
Issue 1: Moonroof.
About a year ago I started noticing my trunk was leaking. My trunk was wet and everything in it was ruined. Took it to Saturn (still had a warranty) and they said it was my Moonroof drainage hose was going into my trunk. Interesting. They fixed it. I went on with my life. A couple weeks ago someone noticed my truck was leaking, you guessed it, water and my suspicion it is the “fixed” moonroof hose. I haven’t got it fixed because of Issue 2…
Issue 2: Head Gasket
Vowing I would never go back to Saturn after the moonroof issue I started taking my car to a great place in Ames. They recently did an oil change and tune-up. I was super pleased with customer service. However, shortly after I got my car back from the tune-up my “Service Engine Soon Light” Kept coming on randomly …annoyed, but not thinking it was to serious I waited until my next oil change.
Monday was my next oil change and the news came in…the Service Engine Soon Light was being cause by a bad head gasket that was going bad and about to blow. They gave me an estimate of cost, which was not cheap at all and I went on with my day a little bit angry. Okay, a lot angry.
Today I decided to research this issue. Went to The Google and to my surprise on the third page of searches my blog appeared…what? And it was this article. Here is my favorite part of the previous article:
“So, what was wrong…Apparently an intake vacuum leak in cylinder #1 and that caused the intake gasket manifold thing to go bad or crack.”
This seems rather related. And of course Saturn fixed it…haha. It was under warranty then so I didn’t have to come up with the money, but now I do. And I feel if they would of done their fucking job in the first place I wouldn’t have to deal with it now.
I hate dealing with cars and their issues. So frustrating. And on a side note, the last time I was at Saturn they told me that my brakes were getting bad and they should change them. I elected to get a second opinion and nope, they didn’t need changed. Funny.
