Just want to talk.
Couple of things I found or heard about lately:
Museum of Tolerance. This Museum was featured on Oprah on a show about Hatred. It was a powerful show and I am so happy to hear that a museum challenges and educates on this subject of human treatment. Unfortunately it is in LA, so I don’t have access to the physical location, which is too bad, I would love to volunteer there.
On the same episode Oprah had Dr. Tony Greenwald a psychologist with Harvard who developed a test to see if you are prejudiced. You can also take the test online.
I’ve also been watching a lot of documentaries lately and one that surprised me was This Film is Not Yet Rated. It is about the rating system on movies (G, PG, R, NC-17) and it really interesting on how secretive and inconsistent this system is. (I also recommend Jesus Camp & Rize)
Sarah Jessica Parker’s new fashion line at Steve & Barry’s called Bitten. Pretty unique concept, woman size’s 2-22, not one piece over $20. How amazing. And Steve & Barry’s is coming to Southridge…not my favorite shopping district, but it’ll do.
My dad and Brenda set a wedding date and are going to Jamaica for their honeymoon, exciting!
Looking forward to the Art Festival this weekend. Just looking forward to the weekend really.
And that’s that.
